The Provincial Population, Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office (PPCLDO) of Pangasinan was awarded with the 3rd Most Outstanding Provincial Population Office during the 2019 National Kaunlarang Pantao Awarding Ceremony on December 12, 2019 at Chardonnay by Astoria, Pasig City.

The Commission on Population and Development recognized the outstanding and significant performances and contributions of local population offices and workers in promoting and implementing the Philippine Population Management Program (PPMP) and its strategies in their localities during its 2019 Kaunlarang Pantao Awarding (KPA) Ceremony held in Chardonnay by Astoria, Pasig City.


Region I delegates and KPA national finalists which are all from Pangasinan, represented by the Provincial Population, Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office (PPCLDO), City Population Office of San Carlos, Municipal Population Office of Alcala, and the Barangay Population Volunteer of Bantayan have been recognized for their exemplary population program initiatives in their respective localities.

In a statement during the Sharing of Best Practices on December 11, 2019, POPCOM Deputy Executive Director Lolito “Boyet” Tacardon lauded the province of Pangasinan as one of the provinces in the country having total development perspective in promoting the population program.

In addition, he said that “these four provinces (Pangasinan, Iloilo, Leyte and Dinagat Islands) are the models that others need to emulate.”
