An initiative of the City Health Office and the City Social Welfare and Development Office of San Fernando, La Union, the Couples’ Trail is aimed at promoting the artificial and natural family planning (FP) methods and to attain the zero unmet need for modern family planning particularly in assisting couples to achieve their desired family size. Topics include the following: Responsible Parenting, importance & benefits of family planning and the different modern FP methods (natural and artificial), including myths and misconceptions on FP. Testimonies of successful FP users were also featured to the participants. After the activity, four women were provided with their chosen FP commodities (3 for pills and 1 for injectables).

Couples’ Trail is a series of RPFP activities that is simultaneously conducted to provide accurate, appropriate, value-laden and firsthand information about responsible parenting, family planning (FP) and reproductive health.
